With the exception of management jobs, most positions at Villa Youville are unionized. In addition, the majority of unionized positions are part-time, as desired by those who occupy them.

Unionized positions that become vacant are first made available internally and granted according to seniority to staff members who possess the necessary qualifications to fill them.

Positions that remain vacant are often offered to casual staff members who have replaced an absent employee.


All employees of Villa Youville must eventually know Canada’s two official languages. All regular positions are officially designated bilingual (French-English).

Villa Youville offers the same salaries and benefits as those of similar establishments in the province. The salaries we offer are consistent with the salary scales contained in the agreements with the Manitoba Nurses Union (MNU) and the Manitoba Government and General Employees’ Union (MGEU).
