Farewell Lucie, Hello Carole
Our Director of Care, Lucie Reuvers, is moving back to Kingston, Ontario at the end of January. Lucie spent five wonderful years with us and we cannot thank her enough for her great contribution. We will miss her cheerful and friendly presence. We wish her the very best in Kingston.
Carole Lavack is our new Director of care since February 1st. She is well known at the Villa. A native of Ste-Anne, she worked as a nurse at Villa Youville from 1986 to 1991. Her adventurous spirit took her to B.C. where she worked as a nurse and program manager. She came back at the Villa from 1995 to 1998. She then worked as Executive Director of Ste-Anne Hospital for a period of five years and went on to manage different programs for the Regional Health Authority for another five years. We were happy to have her back with us in September 2017 as our clinical resource nurse. Carole has a strong commitment to humanitarian causes and community service. She was part of a volunteer surgical team, which traveled to Africa and Haiti. She has been a board member of the local hospital’s foundation and the Comité Culturel. She is presently serving as a board member of the Ste-Anne Library. We are happy to welcome Carole on our leadership team and we wish her the very best.
